Affirmations and other useful techniques

Study affirmations and the setting of goals are also very useful - and these do not require a trance state. In fact, a number of the items discussed under sport can be applied to study.

Memory, concentration and examinations

Having a good memory is a useful asset for a student, and here we discuss some aspects of memory, especially short-term and long-term memory. Concentration is required in various activities of study, and here we provide just one script. Examinations, however, are given a much more detailed discussion since it is one activity that every student must undertake, and the one that leads to the greatest anxiety.

The way of the Zen student

The way of the Zen student is a rather long story but full of suggestions, metaphors and ways to think about studying. You should read this like a novel and simply enjoy the story without trying to dig for deep meaning. This way the suggestions embedded in the story will relate more readily to your unconscious mind, and so have the desired effect on your studies.
